Martin Luther King, Jr day is coming up so I thought it’d be appropriate to share some creative kids crafts! These would be great to help teach children the importance of the holiday.
Paper Plate Peace Craft from Innerchildfun.com
This idea is awesome! Grab some white paper plates and have the kids put tape into a peace sign. Then have them paint rainbow colors on it and peel the tape off.
My Dream Handprint Craft from Vickymoore2.com
Have the kids paint each hand a different shade reaching for eachother. You can then have them write inside what their dream is.
Fingerprint Dove Craft from Busykidshappymom.org
I love this one! Have the kids use one finger and one color paint. Take turns by pressing it on a paper, making it into a dove.
Coffee Filter Doves from Innerchildfun.com
If you have extra coffee filters sitting around, consider making dove garland to represent peace!
Peace Handprint Craft from Kiboomukidssongs.com
Paint your child’s hand white and press it on a blue piece of paper. After it dries draw on a wing, and a twig.
Handprint Wreath Craft from ColorMeKinder.blogspot.com
Have kids trace and cut their handprints on different colored pieces of paper. Glue them in a circle making a beautiful wreath!
Freedom Bell Craft from TwiggleMagazine.com
Grab a styrofoam cup and stick a pipe cleaner on the the top. Paint Martin Luther King, Jr’s face on it. Cute!
There are many more Martin Luther King, Jr crafts but you can search for yourself here 🙂
