Popsicle Stick Leprechaun Puppet Craft for St. Patrick’s Day

Today we made a popsicle stick Leprechaun puppet! It was so easy and the kids loved playing pretend making him talk! It does not cost a lot to make and can be customized anyway you’d like him!  Let me know if you make your own little puppet 🙂

You will need a popsicle stick, glue, scissors, green/tan/orange/yellow/black construction paper, 2 googly eyes, and a black marker.

You can cut out all the parts (legs, arms, beard, hat, buckle, hands, body, face) or you can use this printable leprechaun template (I literally just put the pieces on my scanner so it’s NOT great quality at all but you could use it for a master copy.)

Start by gluing the body parts on without the popsicle stick (it’s way easier!)

Add the leprechaun puppet’s beard, hat, and two small orange eyebrows.

Glue on the googly eyes and draw the nose. You can then either glue the leprechaun’s body to the popsicle stick or tape it.

There you have a fun little St. Patty’s Day puppet to play with!
