Cotton Candy Kids Craft Using Puffy Paint

Summer’s almost here and that means it’s time for fun festivals and carnivals! It’s the perfect time to make this cool cotton candy craft using homemade puffy paint. Kids always love the texture of it! Note it is NOT edible though 🙂

You will need Barbasol shaving cream, elmer’s glue, a paintbrush, red/blue food coloring, marker and paper.

Start by free-drawing a cotton candy shape on a piece of paper. Then mix half glue with shaving cream until it forms firm peaks.

Add the red and blue food coloring so you make pretty cotton candy colors.

Cut out the cotton candy shape and start painting swirls with both colors! Finish it off by cutting out a cone shape for the handle piece. It should stay puffy for about a day or two then start getting flat…make sure you let it dry for hours before touching it! I like to leave it overnight before kids can touch it.
