Sailboat Potato Stamping Craft for Kids

I had some potatoes going bad in my pantry so I thought it’d be a cute idea to make some sailboat stamps! They turned out great and would be a fun craft for kids to do in the summer!

You will need 1-2 potatoes, a knife, red/blue paint, paper, and a tiny paintbrush.

Start by cutting a potato in half, then half again. Using the other part of the potato make two triangle cuts; one bigger than the other. In the bigger triangle piece cut a couple of slits straight across to make the sail.

Dip the bigger piece of potato into the red paint and stamp it on a piece of paper. This is going to be the bottom of the boat! Then take a tiny paintbrush and make a line straight up the middle.

Paint on a tiny flag at the top and add some dots to the bottom of the sailboat and you’re done! So cute!
