Today we made baby Jesus in a manger out of complete fingerprints! It turned out great and was fairly easy for the kids to do. I made an example to show them first so they knew the basic outlines. This is a great idea for Christmas cards, gift tags, or just a fun art project to make!
Have the child dip their pointer finger in brown paint and make a stable. You could also draw lines first and have them make fingerprints on it to make it easier for younger kids.
Wash their finger off and have them dip it in yellow paint. Make "straw" on the floor and in the manger. Then draw a yellow star on top.
Grab skin colored paint and make a face for baby Jesus. Take a blue color and make three fingerprints for the baby's body/blanket. So cute!
