Here is a fun activity for the kids on Thanksgiving! Make a turkey out of recycled toilet paper rolls! This involves coloring, cutting, and taping so it's good practice for kids. Not only are these very cheap to make, they are pretty easy too! Have fun!
Materials Needed:
-Tape/glue
-Toilet paper roll
-Crayons
Glue or tape brown paper around the toilet paper roll.
Have the kids color with brown, yellow, orange, and red crayons. They can make any design but we did lines.
Fold up your paper accordion style and bend it in half.
Tape in the back where the gap was. It will make a flat piece for you to stick to the toilet paper tube.
Roll some tape and stick the turkey feathers to it. This part is kind of tricky so you will probably have to help younger children.
After that is attached, cut out some turkey feet, a turkey round head, beak, wings and a wattle! You can make your turkey look completely different if you'd like! Happy Thanksgiving!
