DIY: Make Healthy Pizza Lunchables (Kid Approved Recipe!)

All kids love Lunchables but sometimes you wonder if they are actually any good for them nutrition wise! Today we made some of our own pizzas using healthy whole wheat flat bagels and some other ingredients. Not only could this save you money (those new “gourmet” ones cost over $3 for tiny pizzas!) but it can also be a fun activity to do with your kids. Have them put on kitchen aprons and pretend they are cooks or play waitress! The sky is the limit with this yummy lunch.

You will need Ragu pizza sauce, little pepperonis, shredded mozzarella cheese, and smart bagels (any whole wheat brand).

To begin you can either put your bagel in the toaster to get that crunchy “crust” taste or eat it plain. Put a few spoonfuls of Ragu sauce on it and spread it out.

Have the kiddos put their own mozzarella cheese on their “pizza lunchable.” This was their favorite part pretending to play chef!
Even a two year old can do it! 🙂

Have them top it off with those yummy pepperonis!
Yumm! They ate them right up! Add some fruit snacks or a mini candy treat to top it off!
